CFSV Cultural Gala

— October 20, 2015 by Kim McCullough, Swan Valley Star and Times

With the most exciting season of the year quickly approaching, parties and dinners are sure to abound as we celebrate the cessation of harvest and the arrival of our friend, Jack Frost.

Coming up this month is a soirée that will certainly be one for the record books, with an evening of delightful entertainment and delicious food planned, all arranged by the Community Foundation of Swan Valley (CFSV). On Oct. 30, from 6-10 p.m., Valley residents are invited to attend the CFSV-hosted Cultural Gala at the Veterans Community Hall.

“It is a formal evening,” explained CFSV board member Miles Jones. “Dinner (is served) while enjoying (performances by) singers and multicultural dancers.” Julie Nahnybida will be catering the evening’s festivities, and tickets can be reserved for $100 per plate. “Charitable receipts will be issued (for the tickets),” Jones elaborated. “But, less the expenses.” Two hundred tickets will be available for the event, and can be purchased from any CFSV board member.

“This is a great opportunity to not only support the CFSV, which in turn benefits the entire Valley,” Jones said. “But, is also an opportunity to have a very enjoyable and entertaining evening out.” A host of multicultural dance and music performances will be expressed. Jones noted that all attendees need to bring with them is a relaxed attitude and a good appetite.

“The CFSV is all for community,” said Jones. “We are a charitable organization founded by local citizens. Our dream is to help community-minded individuals invest in building a strong and resilient place to live, work and play.”
