The Swan Valley Minor Hockey Association’s Rink Divider Project concluded with the installation of the new system in the Swan River Centennial Arena in late October. It was used for the first time by the Novice-aged players in November. The new rink divider got its first real taste of tournament action on December 8th when the local Squirt-aged players had a full-day tournament using the boards.
The local hockey association is now compliant with the rules set out by Hockey Manitoba. The Community Foundation of Swan Valley is pleased to have helped support this project, which now enables four teams to use the ice at the same time safely.
