With financial assistance from the Community Foundation of Swan Valley, Services to Seniors staff now have a new laptop that will be used in a variety of ways vital to their work. In conjunction with the projector the Foundation help fund in 2013, presentations for educational programs on aging can now be viewed at staff meetings, seminars, out in the community, and by the volunteer board members.
Services to Seniors pays an important role in the rural community by offering a number of things such as the Lifelife Program, nutritious congregate meals, assistance with referrals to other agencies, transportation to medical appointments for a nominal fee, foot care in the home, blood pressure clinics, finding reliable people to help with odd jobs for a resonable price, as well as social activities, entertainment and a library outreach program.
With today’s aging community, the Foundation is pleased to be a part of this much-needed program.
